Sugargoo help and FAQ

All answers traced to official documentation read 27 August 2026

Every answer below comes from Sugargoo's own published pages or from behaviour we checked ourselves. Where something is not published, we say so rather than guessing.

Frequently asked questions

Does Sugargoo charge an agent service fee?

No. The published cost structure is the item price plus domestic delivery to the warehouse, then international shipping plus warehouse fee and any optional add on services, with a packing fee of CNY 8 per parcel. There is no percentage commission on the item price. Note that the payment processor does take a cut, from zero on domestic Alipay up to 4.8 percent plus a fixed fee on a credit card. Full breakdown on the cost page.

How long can goods sit in the warehouse for free?

100 days, counted from the moment the order status changes to packing center. A 30 day extension costs CNY 8. If the window expires and you have neither extended it nor paid for shipping, Sugargoo disposes of the goods, so set a reminder when your first item lands.

How many QC photos do I get, and can I see any before ordering?

Your own order gets 7 free photos: five of the product and two of the parcel, one of which shows the actual weight. Separately, every find in this catalogue is quality control verified before it is listed, so the item page carries photographs from orders real buyers already received, grouped by the agent that handled them. You can study those before spending anything. The QC page covers both.

Can I ask for more photos?

Yes. Personalised photography costs CNY 2 per item and lets you name the detail you want captured in the order remarks. Mannequin try on photos, which use a fixed size dummy, cost CNY 50 per session. Blurry shots are reshot free. Value added services are processed within 24 hours of payment once the item is in the packing centre.

How is shipping weight calculated?

On actual weight or volumetric weight, whichever is greater. Actual weight includes the goods plus all packaging materials. Volumetric weight is length times width times height in centimetres divided by 5000, though third party carriers may use 6000, 7000 or 8000. The published route specifications show EMS and the US Tax-Free line both using 6000.

Why is my final shipping cost different from the estimate?

The estimate is based on expected weight and dimensions before the box is made up. The final charge uses the packed weight after consolidation, and Sugargoo refunds or charges the difference. If you want the real figure in advance, the packing rehearsal costs CNY 18 per parcel and measures the packed box before you commit to a route.

Which payment method should I use?

Whichever is cheapest that you actually have access to. Domestic Alipay carries no fee. Payermax is 3 percent plus a small fixed fee, Onerway with Google Pay or Apple Pay is 3.4 percent plus a fixed fee, and a credit card is 4.8 percent plus a fixed fee. All of those clear in minutes. Bank wire is the outlier at 5 to 15 business days.

Who pays import duties and taxes?

You do, and your country decides them. Some routes are sold tax inclusive, meaning the charge is settled inside the shipping price, and others are tax free at point of sale, meaning you may be billed on arrival. The EU removed its duty free exemption for parcels under EUR 150 with effect from 1 July 2026, and recipients in Brazil, Mexico and Chile must supply a tax identification number. See news.

Are there things Sugargoo will not ship?

Yes. Sugargoo publishes a table of prohibited and restricted articles for import and export, and every order goes through prohibited item screening regardless of packaging. Batteries, magnets, liquids and powders are the usual sticking points, which is worth remembering if you are ordering perfume. Check the official list before ordering anything unusual, because a rejected parcel still costs you the domestic shipping.

What happens if the item is wrong or damaged?

Raise it while the item is still in the warehouse, when returning it to the seller is realistic. The inspection covers appearance information such as style, quantity, colour, size and model. It explicitly does not cover defects that match the seller's own description, the functionality or authenticity of electrical and digital goods, or the contents of sealed packaging.

Does Sugargoo publish a return policy?

Not in specific figures. This is a genuine gap rather than an oversight on our part, and we are not going to invent numbers. If written return terms matter for your order, ask support before you buy and keep the reply.

How long are coupons valid?

The newcomer coupon pack is issued automatically on registration and is valid for 90 days from receipt. Other shipping coupons follow whatever expiry is printed on them. Points convert into coupons in Member Center, starting at 1,000 points for a CNY 10 no threshold coupon.

Is there a second hand marketplace?

Yes, SUGARFLEA sits alongside the standard agent service and carries second hand and pre owned listings. Most pure agents do not offer anything equivalent.

About this site

Who runs it

Sugargoo Spreadsheet is published by an independent editorial team that builds guides for China shopping agents. We are an official partner of Sugargoo, which means we earn a commission if you open an account through our link. It costs you nothing extra and it does not buy favourable coverage: the cost page says outright that Sugargoo was beaten on price on the United States route in our own comparison, and that paying by card adds 4.8 percent.

We are not Sugargoo. We cannot access accounts, orders or parcels, and we cannot intervene in a dispute.

What we can do is fix this site. If a figure here is out of date, a link is broken, or something reads as misleading, tell us and we will correct it: [email protected].

What we are trying to do

The purpose of this site is narrow and we would rather state it plainly than dress it up. Sourcing from China is not difficult because the goods are hard to find. It is difficult because working out which of forty identical-looking listings is honest takes hours, and getting it wrong costs money you do not get back.

So the job here is to do that filtering in advance, point you at an agent whose record we are willing to stand behind, and be straight with you about the parts where it is not the best option. Less time lost, less risk of being cheated, and a purchase you do not have to worry about. That is the whole of it.

How we source figures

Every number here comes from Sugargoo's own published pages, its help centre articles, its official notices, or from interfaces we checked ourselves, and each carries the date it was read. Where two official sources disagree, we say which one we trusted and why. Where nothing is published, we say it is not published.

Prices, routes, customs thresholds and processor fees change. Treat every figure as accurate on its stated date and confirm on the official site before a large order.
